The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), revealing Kano State as the highest-performing state in Nigeria. According to NECO Registrar, 68,159 candidates from Kano achieved five credits and above, including English and Mathematics, representing 5.020% of all candidates nationwide.

This performance underscores Kano’s growing educational strength in the country. The overall national pass rate stood at 60.26%, showing a modest improvement from previous years. NECO also noted improvements in female participation and performance across several northern states.
