Twenty five teams are to slugging it out for the 2026 Anambra state football Association All Stars competition.
The All Stars competition is designed for football enthusiasts above the age of forty years and not more than fifty years and resident in Anambra state.
Chairman of Anambra State Football Association ANSFA, Chikelue said the football house would continue to promote grassroots competition to compliment the effort of the Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
The Ex Super Eagles defender while encouraging the participating players to observer fair play and spirit of sportsmanship, thanked the governor for handing over sports activities in the state to a capable administrator, Mr Patrick Agha-Mba as commissioner for youth and Sports development.
He said the conducive and secured environment in the state have no doubt guaranteed safety and encouraged traders to come out and register for the All Stars competition.
Some of the football enthusiasts, Mr Chinenye Ezeagu and Uche Ndulue, said the competition will help them to keep fit and also maintain healthy living.
Radio Nigeria Correspondent Uche Ndeke reports that in the opening match Fegge All-stars defeated Holy Spirit All Stars by two goals to One.
